 Problem

A redirect from vic.gov.au to another Victorian Government website is not working as expected.

A vanity URL is called a Redirect in the CMS.

 Solution

The URL may have incorrect characters in it. Here is how to fix:

  1. In the CMS go to Configuration > Search and metadata > Redirect

  2. Search for the URL by name

  3. Edit the URL and save

The term Vanity URL is usually used in relation to campaigns. The Go.vic URL shortener is a self-service alternative.
