Digital accessibility and quality checklist

Publishing queue teams perform a range of quality checks before publishing new content on vic.gov.au and SDP-managed sites.

You can help avoid delays in getting your content published by stepping through each of these how-to guides to make sure your content is user-focussed and accessible.

Checklist

  1. Search engine optimised (SEO) titled and summary

  2. Content structured from most important to least important

  3. Emails and phone numbers are correctly linked

  4. Internal and external links are correctly formatted

  5. Heading structure on the page starts from H2 to H5 sequentially

  6. Content is on the page and not hidden in attachments

  7. Check the new page has been added to the navigation and menus

  8. Media content is accessible, including:

    1. images

    2. documents

    3. videos

    4. audio content

  9. Proofread your content

  10. Formatting and tagging
