Instructions for embedding and setting up the Timeline component. This component displays short blocks of content in a chronological order.

How to add the Timeline component

  1. Click Edit on a page.

  2. Scroll down to Page content, then click Add Component.

  3. Then select the Timelines component.

Timeline fields

Title

The title field is optional. You could start with a title for the timeline (e.g. Treaty timeline). This displays as a Heading 2.

Milestone title

This is a mandatory field. You need to add a milestone title (heading) for each time period.

You then have the following options:

Date or Text

  • A specific date range such as 20 March 1990 to 30 September 1990, or

  • use the Text field for less specific dates such as March 1990.

A link if there's more detail on another webpage.

Feature image

Before you upload an image, check your image has been resized correctly. Visit: Image ratios, sizes and component use.

Summary

If you want to provide a short or long amount of detail. This includes a Basic text section where you can include formatting like links, bullet points and styling.
