How to make PDF, Word and Indesign files accessible
PDF documents
Visit the Australian Government Style Manual for guidance on how to make a PDF document accessible.
PDFs should only be published online if research shows there is a user need for this format, such as a printable poster or worksheet.
You must create an online HTML version of any document or publication you’re adding to the media library. There are few accessibility exceptions to this rule.
Word documents
Visit the Microsoft support page for instructions and best practice on how to make your Word documents accessible.
Indesign files
Visit the Adobe website for instructions on how to make accessible InDesign files.
How to create accessible content
