Access GA4 Google Analytics 360

Once your website has been added to the 360 GA4 government contract, you can request access to the full vic.gov.au Google Analytics 360 (Analytics 360) account.

To access the public Google Analytics 4 (GA4) dashboard, visit: how to access GA4, customer satisfaction and search dashboards.

How to request access to Analytics 360

  1. Create a Gmail account using your work email.

Please note: it’s best to use a personal email rather than a shared mailbox for a GA4 account. It makes it easier to trace GA4 account changes, especially for users who with Edit or Marketer level access.

  1. Once your Gmail account has been created, submit a Google Analytics user access request.

You will be provided with analyst or marketer permissions.

This will allow you to create:

  • reports

  • audiences

  • conversions

  • events.

For higher level permissions and more complex tasks you are also able to request self-managed Google Tag Manager. See below for the process.

Google Tag Manager tracking

  1. Self managed: your department or organisation can be granted editor access. This allows you to create your own marketing pixels. To receive this access your request must be approved by your department’s digital manager/Digital Management Committee. If approved they will log an access request on your behalf through the support desk.

  2. Managed by SDP: marketing pixels can be added by SDP through the Jellyfish support contract. This service is for SDP managed websites only.

For other requests, visit the SDP support desk.
