How to use feedback: vic.gov.au Google Analytics 4 (GA4) dashboard

This page covers the feedback section of the GA4 dashboard. This section collates user feedback from the Was this page helpful? survey that is at the bottom of most vic.gov pages.

Note: this data is currently unavailable due to an issue with the value coming through in the data Layer. Once resolved the yes/no value will populate in the charts.

On this page:

Yes/No events

The first table and the pie chart is related to the feedback given by visitors who select either Yes or No in the survey.

This click is registered regardless of whether the user submits a response. This can be useful to track as sometimes users may not realise there is a submit button attached to the survey.

You can find feedback for a page on vic.gov.au by using the Page title search:

  1. Yes Event Data and Event count shows the number of users who found the content helpful.

  2. No Event Data and Event count shows the number of users who did not find the content helpful.

  3. % Δ (next to the total events): shows either an increase or decrease in the total events. An increase will have a green arrow, and a decrease will have a red arrow and be a negative number.

The pie chart displays a summary of the percentage users that found the page useful (Yes) or not (No).

All events

This table includes all responses, such as whether a user has selected Yes or No, as well as how many users submitted a comment.
