How to use form submissions: vic.gov.au Google Analytics 4 (GA4) dashboard
This guide covers the forms submissions section of the GA4 dashboard. This section includes number of forms submitted, percentage of form submits and whether submissions have increased or decreased.
Examples of these elements, include:
search bars or filters within a component, e.g. the search result filters on the Victorian Government departments and agencies list or for the content collection component.
Form submissions
This table shows data on forms submitted by visitors.
Form: title of the form
Page path: the URL of the page where the form is located, as well as the form ID.
To find the ID of a particular webform, open the form in the CMS and it will be the end part of the URL (e.g. content.vic.gov.au/form/comm-games-enquiries) or can be found in the Settings > General settings section. It is usually a shortened version of the initial title that was used when creating the form.
Event count: number of times this form was submitted by a unique visitor within a session, displayed as numbers.
% Δ (event count %): number of times this form was submitted by a unique visitor within a session, displayed as a percentage.
% of form submits: percentage of form submits.
% Δ (percentage of form submits): shows whether the percentage of forms submissions have increased or decreased.
