Map canvas options

Legend / Key

zoom in/out with mouse scroll or +/- button

home button resets the map

Full screen - places the map canvas on the full screen. Search and filters do not display

Data representations

Point clusters

  • multiple location points spaced in close proximity to one another

  • click on clusters zooms into the area

Pins

  • exact latitude and longitude location

  • required for all maps with exact lat/long locations

Area shapes

  • postcode

  • suburb

  • LGA/council

  • Region

  • State (Victoria only)

Feature information

Infobox

  • from a click on pin/shape

  • docked to the left of the map taking up full vertical space

  • Recommended if you have large amounts of data per pin/location

Pop up

  • from a click on pin/shape

  • emanating out of the centre of the pin/shape

  • Recommended if you have small amounts of data per pin/location

Carded list

  • from performing a search

  • recommended if you would like your search results listed on the left hand side above your map to give the user nearby features at a glance
