This page will teach you how to add a custom image to a page so it can display when the page is shared on social media channels.

On this page:

1. Prepare an image

Ensure the image dimensions are 496 pixels high by 818 pixels wide (JPG format).

If your team has a graphic or web designer, we recommend asking them to prepare the image for you.

2. Add the image to the page

  1. Navigate to the page that you'd like the custom image to appear from.

  2. Go to the Feature image section.

  3. Click Select images or Remove/Edit if there’s an existing image on the page.

  4. Upload your image.

  5. Add alt-text if the image is informative. If the image is decorative, enter two inverted commas (““) in the field.

  6. Save the page.

  7. Change the state of the page from 'Draft' to 'Needs Review'.

  8. Once the page is live, your custom social media image will appear when you share the page on social media.

3. Check the image works as expected

Try sharing the page on social media to check if the image loads properly.
