Follow these steps to archive or delete a webform.

On this page:

1. Download and clear submissions

Always download and delete webform submissions before archiving webforms.

2. Choose to archive or delete

You should know if you are archiving or deleting your webform.

When to archive a webform

If the webform is live and has received submissions, always archive it. If you’re archiving it, go to step 3.

When to delete a webform

Never delete a published webform.

Only delete webforms that were never published and are no longer needed by you or your team. If you’re deleting it, go to step 5.

3. Archive webform

  1. In the top menu in the CMS click Structure and then Webforms.

  2. Search for your webform.

  3. Select Settings tab.

  4. Select the General sub-tab

  5. Under General settings section, tick Archive this webform checkbox option.

Your archived webform is now automatically closed for submissions. 

4. View an archived webform

The benefit of archiving a webform instead of deleting it is it stays available to view.

  1. In the top menu in the CMS click Structure and then Webforms.

  2. Go to the Filter webforms section.

  3. Enter text in the Filter by keyword field. This is not a mandatory step, but it may help you to find the webform.

  4. Go to the far-right drop-down menu that says All [#].

  5. Under Inactive, select Archived.

  6. Select the Filter button. 

  7. Locate your webform.

5. Delete your webform

  1. In the top menu in the CMS click Structure and then Webforms.

  2. Search for your webform. 

  3. Go to the Settings tab.

  4. At the bottom of the page, select Delete.

  5. You will be asked to confirm you want to delete this webform because it cannot be undone.
