Interactive map options for SDP websites (draft)

User story: As an SDP customer, I want to know what options are available for creating and embedding a map on an SDP-managed webpage, so that I can make one that works well for all website visitors.

The two options for an interactive map for your SDP website are:

Submit a request for SDP to develop a map for you (at a cost)
Third-party maps

You will need to tell us your requirements by completing the map requirements template and attach it to the Platform enhancement request.

Future improvements/offering

We’re currently improving our mapping functionality as part of our SDP roadmap, the backlog will shortly be made available via this webpage.

You may also engage a third-party agency to design and develop a map for your purposes, however to conform with the SDP styling they will need to engage with us and follow our UX/UI guidelines. These are currently being written.

If you create your own map, you will need to ensure that it is accessible, accurate, user-friendly and complies with SDP guidelines.
