Follow these steps to archive or delete a webform.

On this page:

1. Download and clear submissions

Always download and delete webform submissions before archiving it.

2. Choose to archive or delete

You should know if you are archiving or deleting your webform.

Archiving a webform

If the webform is live and has received submissions, always archive it. If you’re archiving it, go to step 3.

Deleting a webform

Never delete a published form. Only delete webforms that were never published and are no longer needed by you or your team. If you’re deleting it, go to step 5.

3. Archive your webform

If the webform is live, always choose to archive it. You may need to refer to it later.

  1. In the top menu in the CMS click 'structure' and then 'webforms'.

  2. Find your form.

  3. Go to the 'settings' tab.

  4. Within the 'General' tab and then the top 'general settings' section, tick the checkbox that says 'Archive this webform'.

Your archived form is now automatically closed for submissions.

4. View an archived form

The benefit of archiving a form instead of deleting it is it stays available to view.

  1. In the top menu in the CMS click 'structure' and then 'webforms'.

  2. In the 'filter webforms' section, go to the far-right drop-down menu that says 'all'.

  3. Select the 'archived' option.

  4. Click the 'filter' button.

5. Delete your webform

If the webform is not live or for testing only, choose to delete it. This action is permanent as you can no longer view and access it.

  1. In the top menu in the CMS click 'structure' and then 'webforms'.

  2. Find your form.

  3. In the far-right 'operations' column, click the down arrow button.

  4. Choose 'delete' from the menu options.

  5. You will be asked to confirm you want to delete this form because it cannot be undone.
